It depends on what your goals are. Most of the clients I work with are aiming to address lifelong issues. To get to the root cause of behavioral patterns that you have not been able to change yourself for years can take time. I am not a band-aid therapist that will only validate you for 50 minutes straight. I will reflect back patterns that I am observing because if I know something about you I believe you have the right to know that information as well.
When it comes to working with trauma - if we ignore protective warning signs from your nervous system we risk re-traumatizing you. We will work at whatever pace feels aligned with you and your parts. I am intentional with our pacing to ensure our work together remains safe and does not destabilize your life outside of session.
I am a therapist who believes our work together should feel transformative and if you would like pacing to change (in either direction) I welcome that feedback.

I believe in both the science and art of therapy. I utilize evidence-based approaches AND I believe leaning into creativity and adapting my counseling style to you is just as important as the technique itself.
The theories I incorporate into my work the most include: Parts Work, Somatic Work, EMDR, Attached-based Therapy, Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). You can click on each of these theories to learn more.

The Name: On the weekends you will find me at thrift stores, antique malls, and estate sales sorting through items from someone’s past and giving them a second life. I have always found beauty in honoring what came before.
The process of therapy is similar. The deepest parts of you are worth a second look. Together we will reflect on the story of how your Parts came to be and reclaim your future. These Parts are important Keepsakes, that remind you where you came from. Your history is worth knowing, and your future is worth fighting for.
The brand logo: At the center of our brand logo (as seen on the home page and in the website footer) you will find a flower. This illustrated flower is from a piece of stained glass that hung in my first private practice office. The creation of stained glass involves fragmented pieces coming together in a brilliant mosaic to illuminate something new. Harmony and multiplicity are key tenants of my work with clients and stained glass is another art form that captures these principles.
